Part
Seven of Twelve: What Will Space Illuminate?
If
we give way to space we may have illumination. And if
that
happens we may be forced to see what we do not care to see. We may
see the true state of our soul. We may see the reality of our lives.
We may see our fallen nature as my son recently said, “I saw my
hands and feet bound in chains that I could not break.”
We
may be forced to proclaim, that we are prisoners in cells of our own
making, bound by chains we ourselves have forged. We will have to
declare our utter inability to escape the trap we have sprung upon
ourselves. We will have to concede our part in our sob story. We will
have to take responsibility for our actions.
And
when we do, we will realize that there is no thing we can do to atone
for our actions. There is no thing we can do to spring ourselves from
the trap.
We
are set squarely upon the mercies of God.
