Tree, gather up my thoughts
like the clouds in your branches.
Draw up my soul
like the waters in your root.

Inside Preparation Work:
We read pages 625-626 in the Handbook of Nature Study: Spring Work. We measured the height of our tree using a stick 3½ feet long and a measuring tape.
Outdoor Hour Time:
We checked on our tree from our Year-Long Tree Study. We spent 10-15 minutes of our outdoor time using the ideas from the Handbook of Nature Study to do some focused observations of our tree.




Follow-Up Activity:
We completed a nature journal entry and took photos of our tree for a record in our nature journal as well.
