Making Dinner Can Be Fun

Jo Bean Making a Yummy Tomato Saute`



  • 1 med. onion course chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic diced
  • 1 sm. piece ginger diced
  • 1 med. bell pepper chopped (we like the multicolored ones)
  • seeds of bell pepper
  • 1 lg. tomato chopped



  • saute onions in 2-3 tbs. extra virgin olive oil & 1-2 tbs. butter
  • when onions are translucent add garlic, seeds, ginger, and bell pepper
  • add salt and reduce by 1/3
  • add tomatoes reduce heat to simmer, cover simmer 10-15 min.

Sugar Plum Making Egg Noodles

  • 1 pkg. egg noodles
  • 1 sm. can tomato paste
  • 1 tbs. chicken stock base
  • 2 cups water
  • salt & pepper

  • Give mommy your best smile
  • Boil 6 cups water with a dash of salt
  • Add 1 pkg. egg noodles to boiling water (adult assistance required)
  • Cook med-high about 7-10 min.
  • Watch mommy drain noodles




  • 0pen sm. can of tomato paste all by yourself
  • look at the yummy gooey stuff, but don't lick it ;)
  • scoop out onto pasta, really work at it
  • Yes, use the whole can



  • Add 1tbs. chicken base to 2 cups hot water
  • Stir until base has dissolved
  • Pour into pasta



  • Stir, stir and stir some more.
  • Add sea salt and fresh black pepper
  • Add the yummy saute mix
Jo Bean making Sweet Apple Surprise




  • 1 med. apple
  • 1 sharp knife
  • 1 apple core
  • Mixing bowl
  • 1 Tbs. cinnamon
  • 3 Tbs. dark brown sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 cup apple sauce
  • Core 1 med. apple
  • Slice each piece in half long ways
  • Slice 1 lemon in half



  • Add slices to med. mixing bowl
  • Squeeze lemon juice over apple wedges (catch seeds in your palm)
  • Add brown sugar


  • Add Cinnamon
  • Mix with hands to coat wedges
  • Serve with a dollop of apple sauce
Enjoy a tasty home-made meal
